Rector of Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences
Gayane Gasparyan says that the university has fewer applicants this
year as compared to previous years.
The reason is the lower number of applicants throughout Armenia.
In an interview with Tert.am, Ms Gasparyan said:
"We always have the highest number of applicants to the departments of
translation and cultural communication. This year we have for the
first times admitted applicants to the departments of Chinese and
Korean translation."
Although some graduates seek jobs outside Armenia, graduates can find
good jobs in the country as well.
"Many of our graduates are working for different international
organizations and embassies," she said.
