HAYKAKAN ZHAMANAK: EX-ARMENIAN OMBUDSMAN TO BID FOR ECHR JUDGE?

The paper says it has learned from "well-informed sources" that a
former ombudsman of Armenia aspires for the post of the Armenian
judge at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR)
Armen Harutyunyan is said to have submitted his bid to the court for
participating in the recently announcedcontest.
The paper notes that Harutyunyan resigned in 2011 to be appointed
the UNHCR representative in Central Asia.
It says further that a total of 11 candidates have applied for the
contest.
