Aeroflot to resume regular flights to Tbilisi in October
YEREVAN, September 27. /ARKA/. Russian Aeroflot will resume regular
flights to Tbilisi on October 27. The frequency and other details are
not known yet, The Prime reports referring to RIA Novosti that cites
Tbilisi International Airport.
Regular flights from Russia to Georgia were suspended after escalation
of the conflict between the countries in 2006. In 2008, the air
communication was resumed for a short time and was suspended against
after Russia and Georgia broke off the diplomatic relations following
the war in August 2008.
In mid-September Russia's Rosaviatsia resumed air communication
referring to the note of the Georgian foreign ministry. Permits for
regular flight operations between the capitals were granted to
Aeroflot, VIM-Avia, Globus, Siberia, Transaero, Ural Airlines and
