VTB Bank (Armenia) supports Yerevan sailing club
YEREVAN, September 27. / ARKA /. VTB Bank (Armenia) said today it will
help organize the transportation of children, going in for windsurfing
from Yerevan to the Lake of Sevan in summer months and to the resort
town of Tsakhkadzor in winter.
According to the Russian-owned bank, the assistance is part of its
effort to improve the quality of life of young people and support mass
and professional sports in Armenia. The bank said it provides
permanent support to the Yerevan Sailing Club.
Established in 2006 the Yerevan Sailing Club has a base in Yerevan and
another one near the Lake of Sevan, the venue of various competitions,
including Armenia's national championship.
VTB Bank (Armenia) CEO Yuri Gusev was quoted as saying in a press
release that by helping the Yerevan Sailing Club the bank contributes
to the promotion of healthy lifestyles among young people.
"I am confident that the Armenian windsurfers will perform
successfully at international competitions, and our cooperation with
the Yerevan Sailing Club will expand," he said.
VTB Bank (Armenia) is a 100 percent subsidiary of Russian VTB Bank. It
runs 67 branches across the country.
The bank's assets as of July 1, 2014 stood at 312.5 billion drams,
the liabilities - at 268.5 billion drams, its credit investments - at
230.3 billion drams and its capital - at about 44 billion drams. ($ 1
