Brutally beaten Armenia villager dies in hospital

YEREVAN. - Hravard Sargsyan, who was severely beaten, has died.
Gagik Manukyan, Head of the Intensive Care Unit at Surb Grigor
Lusavorich (Saint Gregory the Illuminator) Medical Center of Armenia's
capital city Yerevan, told the abovementioned to Armenian
News-NEWS.am.
He noted that Sargsyan was in a very critical condition, he was hooked
up to an artificial respirator, and he died without regaining
consciousness.
The residents of Tsovak village of the Gegharkunik Region had blocked,
on Monday at around 3pm, the Tsovak village section of the
Yerevan-Vardenis motorway.
The villagers had closed off the road in support of fellow villagers,
father and son Hravard and Manuk Sargsyan who were brutally beaten on
September 20.
According to preliminary information, not yielding the road to one
another was the cause of the beating.
The father and son Sargsyan were beaten by three people in a VAZ
2105-model vehicle.
A criminal case has been launched.
Hrant Shaboyan, 27, who is a suspect in the beating of Hravard and
Manuk Sargsyan, is detained.
Measures are taken to find Martin H. and Zohrab K.
