"ARMENIA IS PERCEIVED AS AN APPENDAGE OF RUSSIA"

Lawmaker of the HHK faction Levon Martirosyan considers Russia's arms
sales to Azerbaijan to be a legal phenomenon.
"It's their right to sell arms to anyone they want, but considering
them to be our strategic ally, we have the right to express our
concern and anxiety, especially when the concern is appropriate,
as our soldiers are killed by those arms. The President has already
made a statement. But I think that we must also understand our Russian
partners," he said.
Vice President of "Free Democrats" party Anush Sedrakyan reminded in
this context that the OSCE Minsk Group member countries have signed
some agreements, according to which they undertake not to instigate
the conflict, not to contribute to the intensification of the situation
and not to sell arms to any party in the conflict.
"To say, that it's Russia's business to sell arms, is true, but its
strategic partners must express relevant behavior towards such steps
of Russia, which are really political steps," highlighted Mrs.
Sedrakyan.
The latter is sure that Russia violates all its promises for
guaranteeing security and all the agreements of Minsk Group, as well
as all the internal partnership basics.
"Now Russia's economic and political situation is critical, and in
the upcoming 10 years we aren't able to expect any possible support
in any sphere from Russia even in case of these violated agreements."
Touching upon the fact of Armenia's absence in the conference of
the EEU member countries held in Astana, Anush Sedrakyan noted,
"Armenia isn't perceived as an equal partner in the EEU, or else there
would be at least a formal invitation. When there is no invitation,
it means that the country is ignored for some reasons."
No one can ever think that Armenia will have an opinion different from
Russia's opinion, it means that Armenia is perceived as an appendage
of Russia."
