The family of retired army colonel Volodya Avetisyan, who was
sentenced to 6,6 years in prison, won't appear on the street.
Fundraising, which had been organized to support the Avetisyan family,
gave the desired outcome- 2000 US dollars was collected. Member of "In
support of Volodya Avetisyan" initiative group Gagik Sarukhanyan
informed "A1+" about it.
According to the verdict, Volodya Avetisyan must have paid 2000 US
dollars to the state budget.
The fundraising continues. Money is needed to appeal the verdict at
the European Court of Human Rights.
Gagik Sarukhanyan says that the money is needed for defense costs and
translations.
A few days ago Gagik Sarukhanyan spoke to his friend and the latter
says that he is freer in the custody than the people who are free.
