HOUSEHOLD WASTE MANAGEMENT IN 8 ARMENIAN TOWNS COSTS 8.07 MILLION EUROS

"Solid Waste Management in Kotayk Region" project is implemented
in Abovyan, Byureghavan, Charentsavan, Hrazdan, Nor Hatchn, Sevan,
Tsaghkadzor and Yeghvard towns in Armenia. The project plans to obtain
waste collection trucks, containers/boxes, to create new spots for
waste collection and to construct a new landfill site.
The total value of the project is 8.07 million Euros. Under the
official website of the Armenian Government, the project is co-funded
by the EU Neighborhood Investment Tool in the form of 3.5 million
Euros capital grant, and another 1.07 million Euros will be provided as
technical assistance. Remaining 3.5 million Euros will be provided by
the European Reconstruction and Development Bank (EBRD). On 2 April
2015 the Armenian Government approved the loaning agreement to be
signed between the Republic of Armenia and EBRD.
