AZERBAIJANIS WERE HUMILIATED IN FRONT OF PARLIAMENTARIANS OF 145 COUNTRIES ONCE AGAIN

YEREVAN, 8 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The Azerbaijani side violated the
rules and regulations and manifested inadequate behavior once
again during the 132nd plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary
Union. Member of the Armenian delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary
Union Karine Atchemyan provided the details of the session during a
press conference."From March 26 to April 1, I represented the Armenian
delegation at the 132nd plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary
Union held in Vietnam. The Inter-Parliamentary Union is a
structure that represents the parliaments of 166 countries. The
Inter-Parliamentary Union serves as a good platform for Armenia to
raise its issues and reach mutual agreements through official and
private meetings," Karine Atchemyan mentioned, as "Armenpress" reports.
According to the MP, after a long break, the Azerbaijani side
participated in this year's plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary
Union. During the session, it didn't miss the opportunity and raised
its so-called "occupied territories" issue once again. "They had
boycotted the previous two sessions after the Union had decided
to not hold its plenary session in Azerbaijan due to the country's
"black list". Much to our surprise, the Azerbaijani side had shown
up to the session and was represented by two deputies, Azerbaijan's
Ambassador to Vietnam and an employee of the Turkish Embassy. During
the session of the human rights committee, they asked to speak and, as
always, talked about the so-called 20 percent "occupied territories,"
Karine Atchemyan informed.
In response to the Azerbaijani delegates, the Deputy of the National
Assembly of the Republic of Armenia mentioned that the Republic of
Armenia hadn't occupied any territory, reaffirmed Armenia's position on
the regulation of the conflict in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group
and reminded that the Inter-Parliamentary Union was not a platform
to raise such issues.
