TURKISH HISTORIANS TO SPEAK ABOUT YOUNG TURKS AND HIDDEN ARMENIANS

An Armenian Genocide Conference will be convened on Thursday and
Friday at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy, the university
websitereported.
Among the speakers at the event is Halil Berktay, a Turkish historian
and researcher at Sabancı University in Istanbul, Turkey. Berktay
will deliver a presentation on the ideology and objectives of the
Ittihad Party (Young Turks).
And Halil Berktay's colleague from Sabancı University, AyÅ~_e Gul
Altinay, will reflect on the recovery of the historical recollection
of Islamized Armenians.
