FM RATIFIES GOVERNMENT MEDIATION EFFORTS OVER NAGORNO-KARABAKH

the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, reports

counterpart Eduard Nalbandyan, Lavrov stated that Russia was focusing
on reconciliation efforts between the two countries and did not
consider the dispute to be deteriorating into a 'hot phase'. Armenia
and Azerbaijan have been locked in a territorial dispute over the
Nagorny-Karabakh region since 1988.
