App Released to Inform Public about Armenian Genocide Centennial

Boston, MA - For Immediate Release - The Massachusetts Committee to
Commemorate the Armenian Genocide has launched an app for iOS and
Android devices to inform the public on the history and legacy of the
Armenian Genocide and to serve as a platform to keep the community
abreast of upcoming Boston-area events and programs to commemorate
this April's Centennial of Armenian Genocide.

The free app can be downloaded from iTunes and GooglePlay by searching
for Armenian Genocide, or can be found through the
    www.NERemembers1915.org website.

The app mirrors the information found at the website in a
mobile-friendly manner. Those interested are encouraged to post their
events online by visiting the website and clicking on the events
page. Submissions will be posted online and on the app upon approval
by the webmaster. Users have the option to view either all events or
    those near them.

    ###

The Massachusetts Committee to Commemorate the Armenian Genocide is an
umbrella organization representing all the Armenian advocacy,
athletic, cultural, educational, political, religious, and service
organizations in Massachusetts and the surrounding communities. The
committee aims to educate the public and increase awareness of the
crime and denial of genocide and the lasting effects thereto, with
specific emphasis on the Armenian Genocide of 1915. It also aims to
promote understanding of the Armenian Genocide through mass
communications and public forums; preserve the memory of the Armenian
Genocide and its over one and a half million victims; and finally to
commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in
Massachusetts. The Committee will coordinate programming nationally
with Washington DC and internationally with the Republic of Armenia.
