2 STATEMENTS CONDEMNING GENOCIDE ADOPTED

Yerevan /Mediamax/. The parliament of the Basque Country adopted a
statement condemning the Armenian Genocide on April 16.
According to the statement, over 1.5mln Armenians were slaughtered
and evicted in the Ottoman Empire during the World War I, and the
Armenian Genocide is one of the most horrible genocides in the history
of the mankind.
The MPs of the parliament of Basque Country stated that despite
the calls of the international community, the Turkish government
hasn't recognized the Armenian Genocide yet. Joining the calls of
the international community, the Basque parliament urged Turkey to
recognize the Armenian Genocide.
On the same day, the legislative council of Vicente Lopez city in
Argentina adopted a resolution on the Armenian Genocide Centennial.
