TURKEY'S INADEQUATE STEPS STIR UP ANTI-TURKISH SENTIMENTS - ALEXANDER ARZUMANYAN

Under pressure, Turkey is trying to make steps, which prove inadequate,
which, in turn, stirs up anti-Turkish sentiments, Armenia's former
FM Alexander Arzumanyan told reporters on Tuesday as he commented on
Turkish Premier Ahmet Davutoglu's remarks about Armenians who died
during the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.
"That is, Turkey is only helping the Armenian side specify its
approaches," he said.
Speaking of the Armenian Parliament's resolution on the 100th
anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Mr Arzumanyan said that it has
nothing to do with Armenia's foreign policy.
"It is our appeal to our counterparts," he said.
The Armenian Genocide was not only recently put high on Armenia's
foreign policy agenda.
"The same approaches have been the basis of our foreign policy since
Armenia declared independence. I think we are going to hear either
the foreign minister or the president comment on the process and its
relation to our foreign policy doctrine."
He welcomes the universal response to the Armenian Genocide centennial.
