Leaders of the Founding Parliament movement said their members
sustained about $35,000 in damages to vehicles following last weekend's
attempted car rally to Karabakh.
The convoy was turned back by law enforcement in Berdzor and vehicles
were damaged in clashes there. They also say three cameras were
destroyed.
Members of the group attempted to display the vehicles at a rally
in Republic Square Thursday, but say that police occupied the spaces
where they had intended to put the cars.
Leader Varuzhan Avetisyan called on Armenians living abroad to assist
in making repairs and buying new cameras.
Founding Parliament, a radical opposition party, is seeking regime
change in Armenia, and its attempted rally in Karabakh was part of
its efforts to draw attention to its movement.
