ARMENIA'S CONSUL GENERAL IN ALEPPO TIGRAN GEVORGYAN PAYS VISITS TO LATTAKIA AND KESSAB

YEREVAN, 10 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. Consul General of the Republic of
Armenia in Aleppo Tigran Gevorgyan paid visits to Lattakia and Kessab.
As the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports to
"Armenpress", on Tigran Gevorgyan had meetings with representatives
of the local national authorities on February 7-8 and discussed a
broad range of issues related to the living conditions of Armenians
residing in the coastal areas of Syria, particularly the Armenians
having migrated from Aleppo, Rakka and other cities.
On February 9, the Consul General granted passports of the citizen
of the Republic of Armenia to the Armenians of Kessab at the local
Holy Cross Church, after which he met with representatives of Kessab's
authorities and discussed issues related to the restoration of Kessab,
as well as several other issues concerning citizens of Kessab and the
perspectives for solutions to those issues. During the two-day visit
to Lattakia, the employees of the Consulate General of the Republic
of Armenia in Aleppo hosted a reception for Armenians living in the
northwestern regions at the Armenian National Prelacy.
