On behalf of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Party, Head of the
ANC Faction in the Parliament Levon Zurabyan suggested discussing
the latest domestic policy developments in Armenia at the Parliament
meeting on February 23. Addressing Parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan,
Zurabyan said: "We are not naive and realize that as a member of
the ruling party and head of the National Assembly you assisted
President Serzh Sargsyan and RPA in decisions against Gagik Tsarukyan
and Prosperous Armenia Party. We demand immediate inclusion of the
issue on personal involvement of Serzh Sargsyan in the terror against
Tsarukyan and his party."
Vice Speaker of the Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov interrupted Zurabyan
for "failing to speak properly."
In response, Zurabyan said that the ruling majority appears to have
no intention to respond to the situation adequately and the only way
out is the upcoming nation-wide rally - on March 1.
