Residents of Armenia's Gyumri city are holding a spontaneous rally
in the city's central square, calling attention to today's multiple

The suspect, Russian serviceman Valery Permyakov, used an AK-47 and
murdered Seryezha Avetisyan (born in 1961), Hasmik Avetisyan (b. in
1959), Aida Avetisyan (b. in 1979), Armen Avetisyan (b. in 1981),
Araksya Poghosyan (b. in 1990) and Hasmik Avetisyan (date of birth
being specified). Another member of the family, a six-month-old baby
was hospitalized in grave condition. The police are now looking for
the suspect.
A task group has been set up by the order of Police Chief Vladimir
Gasparyan.
All roads leading to Gyumri are blocked now and controlled by police
as the suspect is believed to be armed.
Permyakov's brother is now serving a prison term in a Russian
