PRESIDENT SERZH SARGSYAN SENDS LETTER OF CONDOLENCE TO FRENCH PRESIDENT FRANCOIS HOLLANDE
YEREVAN, January 12. / ARKA /. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent
January 7 a letter of condolence to French President Francois Hollande
on the terrorist act committed at the office of Charlie Hebdo newspaper
which left 12 innocent victims dead and a number of people injured,
Sargsyan's press office said.
"We strongly condemn all manifestations of terrorism and reiterate our
continued commitment to continuing the fight against international
terrorism. In this difficult time, Armenia and the Armenian people
stand beside the friendly people of France. We express our full support
for the relatives and friends of the victims, wishing steadfastness and
presence of mind to them and a speedy recovery to the injured. Please,
accept, Your Excellency, my assurances of highest consideration,"
the letter reads.
The terrorist act was also strongly condemned by Foreign Minister
Edward Nalbandian, who said in a statement that Armenia shares the
grief of the French people over the death of innocent people and
expresses its support to the friendly France.
He said these horrific acts have demonstrated again the need for
united efforts of the international community in fighting terrorism.-0-
