Armenia's Armed Forces guided by the international humanitarian rules
have allowed Azerbaijan to evacuate Azerbaijani raider's body from
the neutral territory, Armenian Defense Ministry Spokesperson Artsrun
Hovhannissyan wrote in a Facebook post.
"After the incident in Tavush region, Armenia, the situation was
tense for a while. Armenian subdivisions gave an adequate response
to all the shots. The Armenian Armed Forces subdivisions guided
by the international humanitarian rules have allowed Azerbaijan
to evacuate the body of one of the raiders from the neutral area,"
Hovhannissyan wrote.
To recall, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces made a sabotage attempt on
the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, near the village of Baghanis, Tavush
region, Armenia, approximately at 5:30pm local time on January 11.
The rapid response group of the Armenian Armed Forces timely detected
and neutralized the raiders that violated the state border of the
Republic of Armenia. The body of one of the raiders was left in the
territory between the Armenian and Azerbaijani positions. An Armenian
shepherd Seryozha N. Sargsyan (1935) was killed in skirmishes.
