CHILD THAT SURVIVED FAMILY MURDER IN GYUMRI MOVED TO YEREVAN HOSPITAL

The six-month-old Seryozha Avetisyan, the only member of Avetisyans
family who survived the vicious murder of January 12 in Gyumri,
has been moved to the Yerevan Medial Center "Surb Astvatsamayr,"
Anahit Aytayan, Spokesperson of the Health Ministry, told ArmInfo.
She said the child is in grave condition in the reanimation
department. The child was hospitalized with a slash wound in the
chest. The abdominal cavity organs were not damaged.
After a 40-minute successful surgery, the child is now under
supervision of the health minister.
As was reported earlier, a family of 6 persons was viciously murdered
in Gyumri. On Jan 12 in Gyumri, Permyakov left his post. He penetrated
into the house of Avetisyans and shot all the 6 members of the family
dead. Only their 6-month-old baby has survived. The soldier left his
uniform and gun on the spot. He escaped wearing casual clothing. After
a day-long search, he was detained on the border with Turkey by the
frontier guards. Permyakov has already admitted to the murder.
