The second-largest party by number of members in Armenia, the
Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), has appealed to the people of the
country not to respond to anti-Russian provocations. This is reported
by the press service of PAP.
"PAP encourages Gyumri residents to exercise maximum restraint, do
not yield to provocations, to act within the law, and to avoid clashes
with the police," RIA Novosti quotes the text of a statement by PAP.
PAP also asks the police to be as tactful as possible, to act
exclusively within the framework of their powers and not to use force.
The party appealed to Russia to "strongly condemn the inhumane crime
in Gyumri" and cooperate in all possible ways with an impartial
investigation and punishment of criminality.
