RUSSIAN OMBUDSWOMAN EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES OVER MURDER OF FAMILY IN ARMENIA'S GYUMRI

Russian Ombudswoman Ella Pamfilova has sent a letter expressing
condolences to her Armenian counterpart over the murder of the
Avetisyan family by Russian soldier Valery Permyakov in Gyumri,
RIA Novosti reports.
The ombudswoman expressed confidence that the case would be thoroughly
investigated and people responsible for the brutal murder would
be punished.
Permyakov, serving at the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri,
atrociously murdered six members of the Avetisyan family on Monday.
The only survivor of his attack, a 6-month baby, is under intensive
care. Permyakov himself was caught on Tuesday and has already admitted
responsibility for the tragedy.
