The six-month-old infant who survived the tragic family murder in
Gyumri earlier this week continues to remain in a critical condition
after the second surgery, says his doctor.
"The child's condition is critical but stable," Nikolay Dallakyan told Tert.am.
Seryozha Avetisyan, who is in Yerevan's St Astvatsatsin hospital, on
Friday underwent a ventricular drainage surgery, an intervention which
doctors believe will prevent life-threatening complications and
serious disabilities in future. The decision to operate him on made
after an extended council (which involved also specialists from
world's leading clinics).
The operation was successful thanks to doctors' efforts.
The child had earlier undergone surgery in Gyumri where he was
hospitalized hours after the tragic incident left six in the family
killed.
