Thousands gather to commemorate Dink at Istanbul's Taksim Square

YEREVAN, 19 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. Thousands of people have gathered at
Taksim Square to commemorate editor-in-chief of Istanbul's Armenian
Agos Weekly Hrant Dink. As "Armenpress" reports, citing Agos Weekly,
the gathered have held a large sign reading "Confront Hrant, Confront
the Genocide".
The march is led by the Dinks, co-chairs of the Democratic Party of
PeoplesSelahattin Demirtaþ and Figen Yüksekdað, MP from the
oppositional Republican People's Party Umut Oran, Sezgin Tanrýkulu and
Þafak Pavey. Among other participants is the family of 15-year old
Berkin Elvan, who was killed during the events of Gezi. Some of the
participants held signs reading "This Is The Avenue of Hrant Dink,
This Is The City Of Hrant Dink, This Is The Country Of Hrant Dink" and
"From 1915 to Hrant: The Massacres Continue". The gathered are
marching and gathering in front of the editorial office of Agos
Weekly, the place where Dink was killed through a conspiracy eight
years ago. Signs reading "We Are All Hrant, We Are All Armenians" and
"As Long As We Haven't Said It, This Case Won't End".
