Conducting the events commemorating the centenary of the Battle of
Gallipoli to be held on the 24th of April the Turks pursue one aim
only - to desecrate the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, political
analyst Levon Shirinyan told the reporters on Monday, speaking about
the invitation Turkey's president sent to Serzh Sargsyan.
Another political analyst Azat Arshakyan said that Turkey has failed
the anti-imperialist program. "The next phase is the collapse of
Turkey. It must be eliminated from the world. It is a false
celebration," he said.
Arshakyan stressed that we are the pursuers and Turkey is the one being pursued.
The political analyst hailed the response letter of the Armenian
president to Erdogan, which Arshakyan described as of high-quality.
"This event and Battle of Gallipoli legend is anti-Turkish agitation
and they are trying to make this negative positive," he said.
Battle of Gallipoli has nothing to do with the Armenian Genocide,
Shirinyan said.
"We will mourn on April 24 and Turkey will desecrate that day. No one
in Turkey says that by the Treaty of Sevres Armenia must be recreated,
the rest is desecration," he said.
Arshakyan said that Russia will accept Erdogan's invitation he also
said that luckily the Minsk Group does not comprise of Russia only,
otherwise the Karabakh issue would have been settled in favor of
Azerbaijan.
