Developments surrounding Gyumri tragedy evidence of improper relations

Armenian authorities' behavior over the Gyumri events causes serious
doubts about normal relations between the two sovereign nations,
Chairman of the Yerevan Press Club Boris Navasardyan told reporters on
Tuesday.
"Irrespective of contradictions to the Russian Constitution in the
Armenian-Russian agreement on the status of the Russian military base,
which fact has been referred to in the context of the Russian side
conducting further investigation, we can understand and discuss it.
However, why have not Armenia's authorities filed an official request
for Armenia's law-enforcers to conduct an investigation and a trial?"
"The prosecutor general promised to talk to his Russian counterpart.
We do not know if he has or had not kept it. If he has, it should have
been officially stated.
"We have not received a response from Russia. We only have unofficial
hints that the Russian side insists on conducting an investigation."
