Armenian companies participating in Bahrain's international
entrepreneurs investment forum
YEREVAN, JANUARY 19. / ARKA /. Fifteen Armenian companies are
participating in the first International Entrepreneurs Investment
Forum being held in Bahrain's capital city Manama from January 19 to
21.
The major focus of the Forum is to promote investment and facilitate
business linkages between entrepreneurs from around the world to
exchange experiences and above all, develop business partnerships
among themselves.
The Forum is a joint effort of the United Nations Industrial
Development Organization, (UNIDO), the Center for International
Entrepreneurship and Investment in Bahrain, the Arab Chamber of
Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the Islamic Development Bank, the
Arab Bank of Economic Development in Africa, the European Investment
Bank, Kaufman Foundation and some other organizations.
The Armenian participation is secured by the Armenian Development
Agency and the Centre for International Industrial Cooperation. The
participating Armenian companies are engaged in food processing,
pharmaceuticals, information technology, jewelry, agriculture and
other sectors.
The forum provides the participants with an opportunity to acquire the
latest expertise in the field, expand networks, build partnerships and
develop new joint projects. It is expected that the recommendations
made at the forum will lead to the adoption of a Bahrain Declaration
on Entrepreneurship Development. More than 1000 stakeholders are
participating from all over the world, including high-level
delegations from international organizations and institutions.
The forum's sessions will focus on fostering entrepreneurship
development, financial models to support entrepreneurs, women
entrepreneurs, and support institutions for entrepreneurs.
In addition, parallel panels will showcase entrepreneurship
development examples in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America,
including the BRICS countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South
