Speaking about the necessity of Russian military base in Gyumri Vahan
Shirkhanyan, Former Deputy Minister of Defense, highlights that for
every country its national security is the most important, and the
military base is intended to ensure security, complete the security
system. In this context, he reminded that Russian border guards keep
the Armenian border with Turkey.
The speaker doesn't exclude that the crime in Gyumri may be an
intentional plan, as a result of which the situation and the attitude
toward Russia have changed.
"I am sure that this case will bring a change of many officials, many
people will be punished both in Russia and in Gyumri. The
responsibility will be raised, as we have seen how official Russia
responded,"- he noted by adding that someone is guilty of this
tragedy, but punishing the sinners can't eliminate the pain of the
tragedy.
Information security specialist Tigran Kocharyan notes that there are
attempts in the information domain to cause clashes between Armenia
and Russia through provocations. The specialist says.
"In the anti Russian side Ukraine and Georgia work very well, each of
them has its inner problems with Russia, and especially information
domain of Ukraine is filled with provocations and misinformation,
which aim at intensifying anti Russia attitude."
