Survival Skills Fifth Workshop
Affordable Housing Workshop
By Glendale Housing Authority
GLENDALE, CA The public is invited on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at
10 am to an educational workshop on Affordable Housing, presented by
Glendale Housing Authority representatives at the Glendale Central
Library Auditorium, 222 East Harvard Street in Glendale. The
presentation will be in English and Armenian. Admission will be
free. Library visitors receive 3 hours FREE parking across the street
at The Market Place parking structure with validation at the Loan
Desk.
The Glendale Housing Authority has administered many affordable
housing programs and supported the development of numerous affordable
housing projects using affordable housing funding, since its inception
in 1975. These programs and development projects continue to be very
successful both in terms of design and operations. These housing
projects have provided new affordable rental housing for seniors,
families, and special needs populations, as well as home ownership
opportunities for first time home buyers. To date, the Glendale
Housing Authority has developed over 1,200 units of affordable housing
for both low income renters and homeowners.
This Affordable Housing workshop is the fifth workshop from the series
of Survival Skills planned by the Glendale Library, Arts & Culture
Department. The purpose of this workshop is to provide information on
affordable housing projects and programs and the opportunities
available in the future. Please note that no housing applications will
be given out at this meeting.
We ask our community members and in particular community advocates to
make every effort to attend this very important workshop.
