"DO WE HAVE WRITERS LIKE CHARENTS, TUMANYAN, ISAHAKYAN?": E. MILITONYAN (VIDEO)

Edvard Militonyan, President of the Writers' Union of Armenia,
considers the people, who ask him whether we have writers like
Charents, Tumanyan, Isahakyan, to be strange and naive. The President
of the Union considers such questions to be "naive":
"As each writer is unique and there won't be another like him,"
he says.
"By respecting the great writers, we do the opposite with the
contemporaries, we glorify the classic writers but mistrust the
contemporary writers."
