10:13 * 03.03.15
British Premier David Cameron will not arrive in Armenia to attend
events marking the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide,
British Ambassador to Armenia Katherine Leach told the newspaper.
The British premier responded to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's
invitation given the importance of the Armenian Genocide centennial
for the Armenian people and apologized for not being able to attend
the events, Ms Leach said.
The level of Great Britain's representation at the events in Turkey
to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli, which has
been scheduled for April 24 as well, has not yet been decided.
The British ambassador's answer suggests that Great Britain will be
equally represented at events in Armenia and Turkey, the newspaper
writes.
