CONSUMER PRICES IN ARMENIA RISE 4.3% IN JANUARY 2015 AS INFLATION IN EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION SPACE AVERAGES 14.2%
YEREVAN, March 10. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia rose 4.3% in
January 2015, compared with January 2014, as inflation in the Customs
Union member countries and in Eurasian Economic Union space averaged
14.2%, the Eurasian Economic Commission says in a report posted on
its official website.
Consumer prices in Armenia went 2.5% up in January 2015, compared
with the previous month. According to the report, consumer prices in
the Customs Union and Eurasian Economic Union countries rose 14.2%
over one year and 3.5% over one month.
The highest in the Customs Union year-on-year inflation rate was
recorded in Belarus - 17.1%. The country accounted for a 2.4%
month-on-month price rise in January 2015.
Consumer prices in Russia rose 15% over one year and 3.9% over one
month and Kazakhstan accounted for 7.5% and 0.6% respectively.
Price rise in the Eurasian Economic Union space was higher in January
2015 than one year ago.
In January 2015, compared with December 2014, prices for services
grew 3.9% in Belarus, while in Armenia, Kazakhstan and Russia prices
for foods rose 4.5%, 1.2% and 5.7% respectively.
The total price rise was impacted a great deal by increase in prices
for particular goods and services.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, consumer prices in the
Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union rose 11.3% in December
2014, compared with December 2013.
Armenia became a full member of the Eurasian Economic Union on January
