Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan will start an official one-day
visit to Kuwait on Wednesday aimed at bolstering ties on all possible
domains with the State of Kuwait.
Speaking on the occasion, Armenian Ambassador to Kuwait Fadi
Sharshogliyan told KUNA that the visit would be important to boost
the diplomatic relations which began in 1994.
The visit, called for by an invitation of His Highness the Prime
Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, will hopefully
include meetings with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad
Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and other senior Kuwaiti officials, said the
Ambassador, adding that the signing of agreements would probably
take place.
On his part, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Armenia Bassam Al-Qabandi said
that his meeting with the Prime Minister a few days ago focused
on the upcoming visit aimed at further boosting relations on all
possible domains.
During the visit by Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan to Kuwait in
2009, relations were considerably boosted with several agreements
signed between Kuwait and Armenia.
The visit, which was the first by an Armenian leader, led to the
bolstering of ties within several spheres.
