DEM AM: CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HAS NOT EXPRESSED ITS POSITION ON CHANGES YET
14:13 | March 16,2015 | Politics
We are again challenging the constitutionality of the recently amended
Law on Funded Pension in the Constitutional Court. The issue remains
in the public spotlight because the government has not honoured the
previous decision of the Constitutional Court and the latter has
not expressed its position on the changes, Dem am (I am agianst)
initiative said in a statement.
"This controversy stems from the gap in the legal system which does
not provide for assessment of the outcome of decisions adopted by the
Constitutional Court, which should also be a priority for law writers.
Given the public interest in the law we call on the CC to conduct
an oral hearing to ensure the transparency and availability of the
process," reads the statement.
