CC PRESIDENT SAYS PACKAGE OF CONSTITUTIONAL REFORMS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO PRESIDENT IN 10 MONTHS

YEREVAN, 16 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. President of the Republic of Armenia
Serzh Sargsyan has officially approved the concept paper on the
constitutional reforms, and starting today, the concept paper will be
presented to the public at large and interested entities who wish to
examine the provisions and make interesting proposals. As "Armenpress"
reports, during the March 16 presentation of the concept paper,
President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia,
chairman of the commission on coordination of the constitutional
reforms Gagik Harutyunyan said Serzh Sargsyan had approved the concept
paper and had set forth more objectives.
According to Harutyunyan, the package of reforms will be submitted to
the President within 10 months. "We'll not only be working within the
framework of the previous plan, but will also be setting dates with
political parties and will submit the final version of the package
to the President of the Republic of Armenia, who will determine the
future actions," Gagik Harutyunyan said, adding that for the time
being, only the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun has
expressed its views on the concept paper.
