PRESSINFO.AM ONLINE SHOP OF ARMENIAN AND FOREIGN PRINTED MEDIA STARTS WORKING IN ARMENIA
YEREVAN, March 17. /ARKA/. Pressinfo.am, the first in the region
online shop of Armenian and foreign printed media has started working
in Armenia. "Our objective is to ensure timely delivery of newspapers
and magazines to readers," Armen Davtyan, head of Blitz Media LLC,
said Tuesday at the project presentation.
"They will find here more than 1,000 Armenian and foreign newspapers
and magazines, and thanks to a convenient search system, will read
any publication they want."
In his words, Pressinfo.am ensures delivery to any destination, even
to Armenia's remote areas, where newspapers and magazines came with
substantial delay and sometimes in winter didn't come at all.
Speaking about Russia's newspapers and magazines, Davtyan said that
things here are far worse, since Russian products are brought to
Armenia only twice a week and they three times more expensive than
their online versions on websites.
"Prices for all online versions are two or three times cheaper than
paper versions sold in our kiosks," he said. "We hope the population's
interest in reading and awareness will increase, especially given that
there are many interesting free resources available on the website.
'Books' section will attract the website visitors as well. There are
many books in several languages, including literature for children."
News on periodical press market and information about appearance
of new printed sources in the country are planned to be available
on Pressinfo.am.
Davtyan said that the website also provides Armenians living abroad
to read Armenian printed media.
He stressed that top managers of Pressa.ru, a well-known Russian
portal, have contributed a great deal to the creation of the Armenian
website.
The Russian portal's publications will automatically appear also on
