ARMENIA MUST FIND ITS EXPORTING "HIT". ANNA POLAK-KOCINDSKA

    10:40, 24 March, 2015

YEREVAN, 24 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The Polish specialists arrived to
Yerevan get acquainted with the local investment field, after which
they should submit proposals to the headquarters of Republic of
Armenia and EU Armenian delegation to activate Armenia's investment
field and regarding the promotion of country. "Armenpress" intorduces
an interview with the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency
    director Anna Polak-KociÃ…~Dska.

    - Poland's economy is often called the phenomenon of Europe, because
it is the only state that has maintained the economic growth rate
of GDP during the global economic crisis. Due to which the Polish
economy has become one of Europe's fastest developing country and
your country's "resolution" is applicable also in Armenia?

    - The fact that we were not affected by the global economic crisis
was the result of the investments. Poland was a suitable country for
investors even during the crisis. If there was the tendency in the
world that as a result of investment acquired means returned to the
countries, from where they have been received, but for us those means
remained and have been invested again. This was due to the fact that
Poland had a stable environment in the economic and political terms.

Armenia should be presentable and show its attractiveness to the
investors, the rest is a matter of time.

    - After Poland's accession to the European Union, the investments and
economic growth rate directly increased in Poland's economy. What do
you think, to which extent the membership in associations and economic
integrations promotes the state's advancement. If we take into account
your country as an example, how can Armenia use the accession to the
Eurasian Economic Union to foster the growth of own economy?

    - Poland's accession to the EU began in the mid-1990. When we made
this decision, we aimed to implement it. Poland's accession to the
European Union had been using the "knowledge" and experience of the
union. Since 2002-2003, when the world realized that we caught that
path, the flow of investment started in our country. During that
the creation of free economic zones was important in Poland, where
investors could benefit from different advantages. Poland helped them
in every possible way, the membership in the Union has brought us
the inflow measures and various investments in infrastructures. For
instance, they began to pay attention to the road network, which was
in bad condition and a lots of investments were made there.

The only problem that I see in case of Armenia is the issue of the
roads. Armenia could become a connecting link between the EU and the
EEU, but the position of country is inconvenient. It complicates
the problem. This is why your country is becoming more important
for attracting investment and promotion of country. The investors
initially chose the simple ways of investment also in Poland,
avoided the implementation of serious measures, but over time, when
they recognized and understood our country's market possibilities,
we had a flight of investment. It is also the result of EU membership.

    - The reduction of investments in Armenia's economy is one of
vulnerable spots. If we put aside political factors, what kind of
economic and legislative bases are needed for the foreign investment,
    which perhaps lack in Armenia?

    - We are in Armenia for few days, I cannot say too much. But I mention
with the example of Poland, that at first it's necessary to indicate
to the world, that Armenia "exists" and it is interesting for the
investments. Poland was previously known only as a European country,
but where was it? It should be represented to the world. Just for this
Armenia has asked the European Commission to establish an investment
stimulation agency. This program should be continued for 18 months.

Master classes and practical exercises will be held, how to work with
investors, what services should be provided, how ensure the country
promotion. When the winner organization is selected, it will present
its methods and experience on those issues. (THE FULL VERSION OF
