BELARUS MP ASSURES THEY DO NOT SELL WEAPON TO AZERBAIJAN

YEREVAN, 24 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. Belarus doesn't sell weapons
to Azerbaijan. The representative of Belarus at the CIS
Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, Belarus MP Tamara Dolgoshey stated this
responding to the question of the journalist at the National Assembly
of the Republic of Armenia.
Asked that there is information that Belarus also sells weapon to
Azerbaijan and who she would comment it, the Belarus MP noted: "It's
absolutely not true. Maybe it is a gossip. I guarantee you on behalf of
my country that we are a very peaceful state, by these characteristics
we are very close to the Armenian nation, Russian nation. We have never
had a desire to attack; our purpose, as every rational nation's goal,
is to defend ourselves. Every country has the need of the last military
exercises in order to have the ability to defend itself, which implies
material and technical basis and personnel and maybe this has become
a basis for suchlike talks. There is no sense to discuss that issue,
those are rumors".
