Russia's adversary would be happy to see a state coup in Armenia,
but it will not happen, Leonid Slutsky, the head of the State Duma
Committee for Eurasian Integration and Compatriots, told reporters in
Yerevan when commenting on the recent domestic policy developments
in Armenia that made Gagik Tsarukyan, Leader of Prosperous Armenian
Party - the second biggest political party in Armenia - leave his
party and the political field.
"Their hopes did not come true and Victoria Nuland's trip to the
region did not coincide with a state coup in Armenia," Slutsky said.
He is sure that Tsarukyan adopted the only right decision within the
interests of the Armenian people Tsarukyan left the political field
following an open confrontation with president Serzh Sargsyan.
