SEVEN ARMENIANS AMONG RECIPIENTS OF 2015 ELLIS ISLAND MEDAL OF HONOR

There are seven Armenians among the recipients of the 2015 Ellis
Island Medal of Honor. These include Christopher Atamian, Ted A.
Chaglassian, Mike O. Joulakian, Vahe Karapetian, Harry Nadjarian,
Mike M. Sarian and Simon Krikor Simonian.
The Ellis Island Medal of Honor is an American award founded by the
National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO), which pays homage
to the immigrant experience and the contribution made to America by
immigrants and their children.
The award ceremony of the Ellis Island Medals of Honor will be held
on Saturday, May 9th, 2015.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was awarded an Ellis Island Medal
of Honor in 2011.
