IRAN-ARMENIA RAILWAY PROJECT WAS EXTENDED TO CHINA

The speaker of the Armenian parliament Hovik Abrahamyan visiting China
said in a meeting with the president of the state council of China
Li Keqiang that the feasibility study of the Iran-Armenia railway has
been extended to China to consider participation in the project. The
speaker underscored air communication between Armenia and Chine, which
would foster economic relations. Hovik Abrahamyan thanked Li Keqiang
for the annual assistance of the Chinese government to Armenia. This
year the Chinese government has allocated 20 million yuans, and the
speaker of the National Assembly said it would be useful if in the
framework of this assistance fire extinguishing equipment and sports
equipment for schools were provided. They discussed cooperation on
tackling the global economic crisis.
