CENTRAL BANK OF ARMENIA ISSUES MEMORABLE COIN OF 'THE SIGNS OF THE ZODIAC' SERIES

ArmInfo. Armenian Central Bank has put into circulation a memorable
gold coin 'Pisces', Central Bank press-service told ArmInfo. The
series consists of coins with 12 signs of the Zodiac issued under
the international program 'The Signs of The Zodiac'.
Thus, the nominal value of the coin is 10000 drams. It is made
of 900 standard gold. The diameter is 22 mm and the weight is 8.6
g. The averse of the coin bears national emblem of the Republic of
Armenia, the nominal value of the coin '10000' 'DRAM' in Armenian and
English and the year of the mintage '2008' above the emblem. The sign
REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA in Armenian and English is on the milled edge of
the coin. The reverse of the coin bears the image of Pisces against
starry sky. The Latin name of the Sign of the Zodiac is engraved
above the image and in Russian below it.
The mintage is 10000 coins. The sample is by Ursula Valezhak -
designer of Polish Mint where the coin was minted.
