SARATOV POLICEMEN ACCUSED OF MURDER OF ARMENIAN TO STAY IN CUSTODY TILL END OF FEBRUARY 2009

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Saratov's regional prosecutor's office granted the
investigator's petition to prolong the term of arrest of three police
officers, who murdered Armenian citizen Armen Gasparyan, 30.
The policemen will stay in custody till the end of February 2009.
The petition was granted to prevent further criminal activities of
the accused.
On October 29 night, with the purpose to compel confession of gold
theft from Armen Gasparyan, the police officers beat him severely
and then burned. All three were drunk when they took Gasparyan
to a wasteland and beat him. Then they poured petrol over him and
burned. When the young man tried to run away, they killed him and
buried.
