KRASNODAR ARMENIANS APPEAL TO EUROPEAN UNION

On January 20, the Armenian public organizations of Tenginka
residential area, Tuapse region of Krasnodar held a discussion
dedicated to one year of Agos newspaper's editor-in-chief Hrant Dink's
assassination. Yerkramas newspaper of Armenians of Russia informs
that speeches were made on the topics of "Hrant Dink - victim of Pan
Turkish ideology," "The state of national and religious minorities
in modern Turkey," "Are Turks European?"
After exchange of opinions and discussions the participants decided
to apply to the leaders of European Union member states appealing to
them to make pressures on Turkey and require objective investigation
of Hrant Dink's case. The participants assure that Turkey may join the
European Union after the recognition of its faults and the Armenian
genocide.
The appeal is signed by Tigran Tavadyan, editor-in-chief of Yerkramas
newspaper, Artavazd Tulumjyan, representative of "Hamshen" Armenian
scientific, information and cultural center and others.
