PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION OF CASE ON FACT OF LEVON GULIAN'S DEATH TO CONTINUE

YEREVAN, JULY 3O, NOYAN TAPAN. The preliminary examination of the
case on the fact of death of citizen Levon Gulian in the RA Police
administrative building on May 12, 2007 will continue in the RA Special
Investigation Service. Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed about
it by Sona Truzian, the Spokesperson of the RA Prosecutor General. She
said that the RA Prosecutor General's Office and Special Investigation
Service are not going to appeal against the Appeal Criminal Court
judgement at the Cassation Court.
It should be mentioned that representatives of legal successor of the
aggrieved party, Hrayr Ghukasian and Aram Karakhanian had introduced
a complaint against the decision to quash the case. The general
jurisdiction court of the Kentron and Nork-Marash communities of
Yerevan, presided over by judge Gagik Avetisian had made a decision,
according to which, the decision to quash he case should be liquidated
and the preliminary examination should be continued. The RA Criminal
Appeal Court had kept that decision unchanged.
