RA NA IN FIRST READING ADOPTS BILL ON STRUCTURE OF RA GOVERNMENT

YEREVAN, JUNE 17, NOYAN TAPAN. On June 17, the RA National Assembly
in the first reading adopted the bill On the Structure of the RA
Government authored by the government. According to it, it is envisaged
to include 18 Ministries in government's structure, including a new
Ministry, Ministry of Diaspora Affairs.
The legislative package On Consumer Crediting was also adopted in
the first reading. The government conditions the adoption of the
latter by the necessity of harmonization of RA and European Union
legislations, in particular, by the necessity of use of minimum
requirements of protection of established rights of consumers in the
sphere of crediting for European Union member-countries.
The parliament also ratified the agreement On 2007-2008 Financial
Cooperation Between the RA Government and the Government of the Federal
Republic of Germany signed on May 16, 2008 in Yerevan. According
to it, the RA government or other addressee to be jointly chosen by
two countries is given a possibility to receive a credit of in total
nearly 75m euros from KfW bank for certain programs, including that
it is envisaged to give up to 6m euros to the Apartment Financing
Market (Mortgage Market) program. In cases when the body receiving
the credit is not the RA government, the latter is to guarantee return
of the credit.
