All-National Movement, headed by the first President of Armenia Levon
Ter-Petrosyan, spread a statement today condemning the provisions of
PACE Resolution N1614 'On the Activity of Democratic Institutes of
Azerbaijan' concerning Nagorno Karabakh.
According to the Movement's statement, received by ArmInfo today,
PACE confirmed the pro-Azerbaijani provisions of the Resolution from
March 14, 2008, containing a requirement to withdraw the Armenian
forces from the 'occupied territories'. The statement authors think
that the part of the Resolution which says that "stable democratic
development of Azerbaijan has been stipulated for recovery of its
territorial integrity" is the most unclear one. As the statement says,
all this is an expected result of a short- sighted foreign policy
of the Armenian administration. As a result of such a policy, the
prospect of fair settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict has been
prejudiced. 'The documents on Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, being
adopted by different international organizations during presidency of
Kocharyan-Sargsyan administrations indicate that every day of their
stay at power is fraught with a threat of irreversible losses for
the statehood of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh>, the statement says.
