LARIJANI: 3,919 BALLOT BOXES, CENTERS TO BE SET UP IN TEHRAN

Head of Tehran Elections Headquarters Mohammad Larijani said here
Sunday that 3,919 ballot boxes and centers will be set up in Tehran,
Rey, Shemiranat and Islamshahr constituencies to collect votes of
the public for the 8th Majlis elections on March 14.
Larijani told IRNA that out of the polling booths, 3,617 ones will
be fixed and 302 others will be mobile operating both in rural and
urban regions of Tehran.
He said conditions are all prepared to hold elections in a sound
manner.
He added that about 30,000 people will be in charge of handling the
executive, monitoring and disciplinary affairs in the elections.
He noted that qualifications of a group of 886 individuals out of a
total of 1,405 people, who had registered for elections, have been
approved in Tehran constituency.
Larijani said 37 centers will collect votes of religious minorities.
The official said that 17 of the total centers will be in charge of
receiving votes of Armenians in northern and southern parts of the
country, six will get votes of Assyrians, eight for of Jews and six
for Zoroastrians.
He said that religious minorities will have one representative each
in the Majlis.
