PRIME MINISTER RECEIVES SAUDI PRINCE

YEREVAN, MARCH 17, ARMENPRESS: On Saturday prime minister Serzh
Sarkisian received a delegation led by Prince of Saudi Arabia,
President of 'Kingdom Holding Ltd' Alualid bin Talal Abdulaziz al Saud.
The government press office said the Prince first congratulated Serzh
Sarkisian on his election to the office of President saying he was
well aware of Serzh Sarkisian's life history and past career. He
wished him every success.
He also spoke favorably about the Armenian people the representatives
of which, according to the Prince, are appreciated not only throughout
the Arab countries, but also all over the world.
"Considering the recent economic progress, I have no doubt that
Armenia is on the right path," Prince Alualid said.
Serzh Sarkisian and the Saudi Prince discussed the possibilities for
realizing serious investments into Armenia's economy, especially in
hotel business which is the key to the development of tourism.
The Prime Minister of Armenia said he was appreciative of the proposals
on developing domestic hotel network by stressing that the Armenian
government is implementing investment-conducive policies by making
active efforts towards the improvement of the country's business
environment which is the key to Armenia's overall development.
In conclusion, it was emphasized by both sides that economic
cooperation and strengthened ties may lead to the establishment of
diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
Saudi Prince was received the same day also by president Robert
Kocharian.
